Lam's Laundromat has been in business for, to my knowledge, over 20 years. This laundromat equips with more than 35 washers (Wascomat®, Milnor® and Maytag®) and 35 dryers (American Dryer Corp.® and Huebsch®). 4½ folding table (yeah, there's a really small one so that only counts as ½ ^^). But the laundromat employees are hugging the big one all day to do their drop-offs.
Washers Prices goes like this:
Single Loader Maytag® : $1.25
Double Loader Wascomat® : $1.50
Junior Triple Loader Wascomat® : $3.00
Triple Loader Wascomat® : $3.50
Triple Loader Milnor® : $3.50
And dryers are 8 minutes per quarter.
The laundromat is ventilated during summer for cool and is warmed by dryers in the winter. The laundromat also sells both brand and affordable laundry detergents, softeners, dryer sheets, bags and snacks & drinks when you are bored. Another cool thing about this laundromat is that you can park your car for free on the roadside if there's a room for you. Also there's a SETPA train and stop stop about a block away from the laundromat. So the transportation is really good. There are 2 restaurants on the same block if you get really hungry.
Drop-off Services are available to customers who wish to hire someone to do their laundry. After usually 3-4 hours (may take longer depending on whether if they are busy), customers may come back to pick up their clothes
Drop-off Service includes:
1) Washing with brand detergents (with the choice of Tide® Original or Gain® Original) and bleaching with Clorox® Regular Bleach
2) Rinsing with brand softeners (Downy's April Fresh®)
3) Machine drying with brand dryer sheets (with the choice of Bounce® or Downy®) or hang dry upon request.
4) Folding clothing that have been washed and dried
5) Packing folded clothing in either black bags or white bags
6) Keeping clothing fresh by adding few additional dryer sheets in the bags before sealing the bags
Drop-off prices goes like this:
1-10 pounds : $10
11-20 pounds : $12
20 pounds and up : 60¢ per poundBasically the more the better.
I never seen any other laundromats with better prices than Lam's Laundromat. I also never seen another laundromat that folds drop-offs as well as they are. Since it's a family business, they fold their clothes extra nice. I've seen bags and bags of finished drop-offs on the shelf and under the tables. On top of that, the convenience of getting laundry detergents and softeners are right there in the laundromat. They have detergents enough for 2-3 loads for $1.00! I mean come on where can you find that in other laundromats.
I told my friend about this laundromat drop-off services. This kid would drive all the way from west Philly to this laundromat just to drop his clothes off for wash. That's pretty intense if you think about it. Definitely come check it out. Anyway I'm getting tired of writing and this is my very first blog. I hope people can read this and hopefully this might also help someone else.
I will upload some images shortly.
